Hello, All! It’s that lovely middle of the week time when we all get together to drool and snoop and look at each other’s food. Sound like fun? Then you’ve come to the right place. Well, actually the Real Right Place is Peas & Crayons where Jenn has cooked up What I Ate Wednesday! Be sure to check it out when you’re finished here at BCDC…there’s lots of good food to wish you had eaten. That’s how I always feel! 😉
Ok, I know we’re supposed to be doing Veggie Love again, but I haven’t gone to the produce market in Too long. I did manage a few veggies though. You’ll see…
First a few familiar faces.
Greek yogurt with apple and of course, Cinnamon!
Caramel rice cakes with peanut butter and…oh, yes, Cinnamon! This is one of my favorite snacks or breakfasts or lunches. Heck, I’d even eat it for dinner if given the opportunity!
Saturday was the day with two breakfasts. First, right after Weight Watchers, Debbie, Kristen and I went to breakfast. My choice…oatmeal with…all together now…Cinnamon!
So good!
Second breakfast…I looked but I could not find a single Hobbit!! Only Ralph, who suggested we go even though he knew I had just had breakfast.
Greek omelette (tomato, spinach, onions and Feta) with my happy side of cottage cheese to replace the potatoes. There…Some veggies for you!
Sunday lunch…
Pepper and egg sandwich, my favorite. They forgot to put on the American cheese I requested so I put my own on. Frustrating sometimes.
Monday took us unexpectedly to one of our favorite spots and I got my favorite menu item…the Athenia Burger.
You’ve seen it before because I have it almost each time I go there. It is Greek salad with a burger…meant to be a regular burger, but they have a delicious veggie burger which I substitute. I’m never sorry…tasty and filling.
I guess that All in All, I did pretty well with the veggies this week. Just wait until I get to the produce market and I’ll show you what veggies are all about. 😉
Be sure to make your way over to Peas & Crayons, check out all the yummy treats and leave some comments!
Happy What I Ate Wednesday!!
OMG! Another cinnamon lady! Love cinnamon! My bf jokes that all I need to survive is coffee and cinnamon! And he’s right I guess!
Yummy foods, Fran!
Thank you for sharing!
Oh, Greta…a kindred spirit…love my cinnamon! I put it in my coffee, too! Have a great day!
happy wednesday, fran!
i like a little cinnamon…i think you like MORE!!!
i am off to TO! aunti wednesday is here!
have a great day!
You’re up early for Aunti Wednesday, my friend! Have a wonderful day…add a little cinnamon!
Happy WIAW Fran. I am loving your veggie packed omelettes. They always look great, and I’m also a huge fan of second breakfast, so you got me, Ralph and the Hobbits.
I would Love to share first or second breakfast with you, Meghan! We can meet somewhere in the middle…there and back again!
If only we could find the Shire; I’d love to go there.
Me too, Meghan. I want to live in a Hobbit house…
How dare they not put on your cheese. Good thing you had some laying around 🙂
You’re so right, Jessie! People could get hurt if I don’t get my cheese! Have a great day!
You definitely did great with your veggies. That pepper and egg sandwich sounds delicious. I hate when restaurants forget to put on an ingredient. One time my dad ordered a Reuben, and it came without sauerkraut. Now, if you know anything at all about a Reuben you’d know that sauerkraut makes or breaks the sandwich. Lol.
Madison, no sauerkraut and it’s not even a Reuben! It’s so frustrating when a restaurant can’t get your order right. Have a great day!
Haha you’re cracking me up with all that cinnamon! 🙂 Love it!
But, I love it, Liz, plus it’s good for me!! 😉
I love cinnamon—and that omelet is making me hungry!
Happy Wednesday, friend. 🙂
Hello, Dana!!! It is my favorite omelette!! You’d love it. Take care, dear!
Mmmm. Cinnamon is awesome, especially in winter. And that Greek salad looks so good!
Hi Shell!! Just love cinnamon. That salad is my Favorite!
Any time I can order a Greek flavored omelet, I do. It’s sooo good! I actually used a lot of spinach & feta this week in my meal planning so I guess the Greek kick lives on, lol.
Hi Nichole, that’s for visiting! I love Greek omelettes and Greek salads. So good!
That veggie burger looks like it has all kinds of good stuff in it – I can see green and orange 😉
Stacie, it’s one of the best veggie burgers I’ve found. Keep trying to find out from them if there is a recipe or if they buy it somewhere. So good!
I too love apples with cinnamon, I add peanut butter, sooo good. And I love rice cakes with peanut butter and cinnamon, I have switched up the peanut butter for cottage cheese though there’s more protein
Hi Kim, thanks for visiting! I love cottage cheese on rice cakes too. It’s a great light snack or lunch for me on Weight Watchers. I guess I could add some cinnamon to that too.! 😉
Happy WIAW! Greek omelette, YUM! Have a Happy Valentine’s Day! 🙂
